The Centre: A Language for Being

Noticing Was a Gift All Along

The days of saying “I don’t fit in” or “I’m different” are over.

Because there is so much beauty in what you are able to do.

You are someone who notices everything.

And because you notice everything, you notice when someone changes. You notice when the air shifts. You notice when something doesn’t quite add up.

You notice when what is happening doesn’t match what you felt before.

And perhaps, for a long time, you made that noticing about you.

Why do I feel like this?
Why can’t I just join in?
Why don’t I fit in?
Why am I different?

But perhaps the question was never what is wrong with me?

Perhaps it was simply:

What am I noticing?

The shift happens the day you stop questioning yourself and start trusting what you notice.

There is beauty in being able to recognise when something isn’t coherent. When there is a mismatch. When what someone says and what you feel in their presence are not the same.

When someone becomes different and you notice the change.

You don’t have to judge it.

You don’t have to explain it.

You don’t even have to be right about it.

You can simply notice. And then know where you begin and where someone else ends.

You can take what feels true for you and leave what doesn’t.

You don’t have to become part of something simply because everyone else has. And you don’t have to make them wrong in order to choose differently.

That is the gift.

So stop asking yourself why you are different. And begin to hold your ability to notice as something sacred.

Your role was never to become like everyone else. It was to notice.

What you like.
What you don’t.
What feels aligned.
What doesn’t.
What remains coherent when you come close to it.

And what changes.

Then you move forward from there. Not because you have judged the world. But because you no longer mistake what you notice about the world

for something being wrong with you.
